Dear Sharma Family,

You have been part of their journey in more ways than one. It would mean the world to us to have you beside them as we celebrate fifty beautiful years of togetherness.

Uncle ji, you were there when their journey began. This celebration would be incomplete without you.

Schedule

Chapters of the evening

  1. Family greetings and refreshments

Arrive at the courtyard entrance where the grandchildren will be waiting to receive you. Tea, chaat and quiet conversation before the evening begins.

  2. A short family film and memory presentation

A twelve-minute film assembled from family archives, plus the memories guests have shared through this invitation.

  3. Garland exchange, cake cutting and family blessings

The couple will exchange garlands as they did in 1976, followed by blessings from the eldest members of both families.

  4. Dinner, music and shared memories

A Punjabi dinner with the dishes the family has eaten for decades. Vegetarian, Jain and low-salt options are available at every counter.

  5. Messages from children and grandchildren

Short words from each of the three children, and one song the grandchildren have been practising in secret.

Nothing is compulsory. Come when you can — the family will be there from half past six.
